English as a foreign language, is mainly used for communication and application. British and American culture plays an important role in the university English teaching. The paper discusses the significance of fusing British and American cul- ture into English Teaching in University and formulates the corresponding teaching strategies and teaching mode with the actu- al situation of the university English. Mixing English and American culture into University English can broaden students＇ knowledge and make them have a deeper understanding of English knowledge as well as help to improve their language ability.
