摘要
由于不同文化和语言之间的差异性,在中文旅游资料的英译中经常会发现各种各样的翻译错误,导致跨文化交流的困难。通过有声思维调查,在着重论述广州旅游宣传资料尤其是民俗方面文化专有项的英译难点的基础上,提出对应的翻译策略—生态翻译,旨在为跨文化交流的翻译提供一定的指导。
Due to diversity in different cultures and languages, various mistakes are often found in the English translation of Chinese tourism promotional materials, which leads to the difficulties in cross-cultural communication. This paper, based on a research about thinking-aloud Protocols (TAP), focuses on the difficulties in the translation of cultural items in Guangzhou tourism promotional materials and presents a translation strategy - eco-translation, aiming to offer some guidance for cross- cultural communication.
