摘要
跨文化交际能力是英语教师发展的一个重要部分,也是教师评价的重要工具。国内研究人员调查了大学英语教师的跨文化交际能力及一些相关的静态因素,并提出提高英语教师跨文化交际能力的建议。这些建议富有见地和价值,但是这些调查不是基于行动的研究,研究者也没有评估实现这些建议的实际效果。跨文化培训通过精心设计的活动提高受训者的跨文化交流能力,并要适合大学英语教师的需要和特点。首先,要在理论上探索建立一个跨文化交际能力和跨文化培训整合模型的可能性;其次,要根据大学英语教师的需要和特点设计一个跨文化培训的模式;最后,要提出一个评价机制来评估跨文化培训的实际效果。
Intercultural communication competence (ICC) as an important instrument of teacher evalu- ation, is an important part in the self-development of English teachers. A couple of surveys on ICC of college English teachers are conducted by researchers in China and some related static factors (sex, o- versea experience etc. ) are analyzed, thereof some insightful and valuable suggestions are proposed for enhancing English teachers' ICC. However, they are in lack of the support of actions and evaluation of the real effects of materializing those suggestions. Intercultural training has long been used as an ef- fective method of engaging trainees in carefully designed activities in the enterprises and government programmes before they are interculturally competent enough to go abroad, Hence, a training program is needed to fit in the needs and characteristics of college English teachers, exploring the theoretical possibility for building an integrated model of ICC and intercultural training, designing a new special intercultural training mode for college English teachers, and finally, proposing an evaluation mecha nism of ICC training.
