The narration of＂anti-war-enlightenment＂in The Girl in the countryside written by Yu Feng centers on the main character,He Guihua,who,inclined to the enlightenment thinker,wants to challenge her own fate so much that she becomes so eager to change her status being enslaved in that society.However,she eventually fails to realize it due to the abandon of the enlightenment thinkers.In the article,the author expresses his doubt for the popular narration of＂war-enlightenment＂through the main character＇s failure.That means the effectiveness of the enlightenment will be discounted dramatically when the identities of the enlightenment thinkers are not so valid.This novel written by Yu Feng develops originating from the tragic experience of Lu Xun about the May 4th Enlightenment,reflecting his resist toward the main stream ideology in that society.
