The Acquisition of Copulas BE in the Studies of Aspect Hypothesis

Based on the analysis of the rates of simple past marking on copulas be and the other states in two studies of the Aspect Hypothesis,the present research found that the percentage of simple past parking on copulas be is higher than that on the other states in each study.The result is consistent with that found in most of the previous studies and confirms to a certain extend that copulas be is acquired earlier and better than the other states.Moreover,task type plays an important role on tense-aspect marking.
