摘要
探讨汉英交替口译中受试者的停顿位置情况、口译水平对停顿位置的影响及停顿原因。研究结果表明:(1)受试者停顿较多发生在:句子之间、从句内部和短语内部;(2)不同水平的口译者,停顿的位置有所不同,尤其体现在长时间停顿上;(3)举例并分析主要停顿原因为:目的语提取困难和口译策略使用不熟练。研究表明,大学英语教学中可以增开口译选修课并加强口译交替传译技能训练。
The study explores the distribution of pauses and the different performances among different subjects in terms of pause position. The major results show that pauses are mostly found within a clause, within a phrase and at sentence boundaries. Comparisons between the source text and the transcribed target text reveal two reasons for the occurrence of pauses, i. e. , the lack of linguistic competence and the clumsy application of tactics. It is suggested that interpretation training could be included in college English teaching with importance placed on skills of consecutive interpretating.
