摘要
翻译活动不仅受到语言内部规范的制约,还受到外部的社会文化规范制约,翻译的本质任务是实现跨文化交际的对话。梁实秋的《莎士比亚全集》译文虽然堪称精品,但读起来却有生涩感,这种翻译风格与他散文创作的流畅文风相异。本文通过对梁实秋翻译个案的剖析,尝试用图里的翻译规范理论来揭开这一矛盾现象背后的真正原因,也为研究其他翻译家兼文学家提供参照。
Translational activities are restrained by linguistic norms, but social and cultural ones as well, so translation is designed to achieve cross-cultural communicative dialogue. Liang Shi-qiu's translations of The Complete Works of Shakespeare could be rated as an elite work of art, but its jerky style in his translations is quite different from the smooth style in his essays. Through analysis of Liang Shi-qiu's translations, it intends to explain why so from the perspective of Toury's norm theory, the result of which can be a reference to study other translators and figures of letters.
