OUTLINE/Xinghai Concert Hall in Guangzhou launched its 15th anniversary music season in May,and a highlight was a concert version of La Traviata.During the same month,Opera Hong Kong brought The Tales of Hoffmann to the operatic stage as part of its 10th anniversary.Although the presentations are different,they both communicate a very clear message:music is the core of opera,but production and staging are equally important.
