In order to promote design and manufacturing technology of welded gear, taking the big gear in 630- tonnage press as an example, the key technology and method from designing, checking to welding and machining for welding process have been expounded in detail. The finite element verification method, structure of weld, welding performance, welding process, and welding methods have been explained. It provides reliable basis and reference template for design and manufacture of this kind of welded gear.
