As a form of mass culture, music spreads everywhere. Believing that this form of mass culture never serves the masses, the Frankfurt School puts forward the concept of cultural industry and points out that popular music, like other forms of mass culture, has been increasingly standardized and commod- itized. This criticism represents a profound reflection on the contemporary crisis of social cultural values, but this absolutely negative attitude is worth studying.
