In thermal power engineering, there are many factors affecting the cost. This paper makes a summary of various factors, and mainly discusses on how to control the project cost in decision-making phase, design phase, bidding phase and implementation phase of the electric power construction projects, and some matters needing attention are put forward, in hope of providing some suggestions for cost control of thermal power engineering.
