科技英语教学中交际能力的培养

Cultivating the Communicative Competence for EST

随着我国对外交往与合作更加频繁,需要有相当应用能力的复合型英语人才。而理工科环境下科技英语课程的开设对培养理工科复合型人才,提高理工科人才的综合素质具有重要意义。本文主要分析了理工科院校英语专业科技英语教学中交际能力培养的重要性,提出"以学生为中心"的教学模式,通过听、说、读、写、译等具体的交际活动来培养学生的科技英语交际能力。

With more and more cooperation with foreign countries in every field, our country needs more talents with comprehensive foreign languages competence. So, EST plays an important role in college English teaching and learning. This paper mainly explores the importance of cultivating English majors＂ communicative competence for EST in the universities of science and teehnologyl and also explores the necessity of the teaching model of ＂centered-around students＂. In the process of teaching and learning EST, it is suggested that the communicative competence for EST should be cultivated by training the language eompetences of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translation for EST.
