姚际恒是清初安徽著名的经学家、辨伪学家、藏书家和目录学家。他一生著述等身,藏书极为丰富,但大都亡佚,仅有《诗经通论》、《古今伪书考》、《好古堂书目》、《好古堂家藏书画记》等著作完整地流传下来。姚际恒在辨伪学、诗经研究方面的成就为世人所知,并得到充分的研究,但其目录学方面的成就亦非常突出,集中体现在其目录学著作中。

Yao Jiheng is a famous classicist,discrimination scientist,bibliophile bibliographer of Anhui in the early Qing dynasty.He has generous writings and rich library in his life that mostly lost,only book The General Theory of Book of Songs,Gu Jin Wei Shu Kao,Hao Gu Tang Shu Mu,Hao Gu Tang Painting and Calligraphy Record etc handed down entirely.Yao Jiheng has be known as his achievement of classicdiscrimination science.Then his achievement of bibliography is very prominent too,that mainly reflected in his book of bibliography.
