成都"市中事件"是抗战时期大后方群众运动从沉寂走向高涨的转折点。事件的爆发具有复杂的原因与背景,民主青年协会在这次事件中充当了领导者的角色。成都各界青年学生在"民协"的组织与动员之下,与国民党当局进行了顽强、持续的斗争,最终迫使国民党当局答应了学生的部分要求,斗争取得了初步胜利。这次运动教育和锻炼了成都广大青年学生和"民协",获得了当时社会各界的重视与好评,为以后成都青年运动的发展奠定了基础。

Junior high school events of ChengDu was turning point of the mass movement from silence to climax in the rear area of Anti-Japanese War.The outbreak of event has complex causes and background.Democratic Youth Association acted as a leadership role in the incident.Under the organization and mobilization of the Democratic Youth Association,Chengdu young students struggled with the Kuomintang authorities,eventually forced the Kuomintang authorities to agree the partial requirements of the students.The struggle obtained a preliminary victory.The campaign educationed and trained the young students in Chengdu and Democratic Youth Association,won the attention and praise of the community,and laid the foundation for the development of youth movement in Chengdu.
