独立学院非英语专业学生英语学习动机类型调查与分析

A Survey and Analysis of English Learning Motivation of Non-English Majors at Independent Colleges

为了解独立学院学生的英语学习动机类型,本研究采用李克特问卷对某独立学院的331名非英语专业学生的英语学习动机类型进行问卷调查。结果表明,学生在英语学习中各动机类型所占的比重不同,个人发展和信息媒介动机最强,出国动机最弱。本研究还发现,男女生在英语学习动机类型上存在差异。该调查结果对独立学院英语教学具有重要的启示。

In order to learn about the types of the English learning motivation of the students at independent colleges, this paper, choosing 331 non-English majors from a certain independent college as subjects, adopts the Likert-Scale five-point measure questionnaire to conducted a survey to investigate their English learning motivation. The results indicate that the scores of different types of English learning blotivation vary, with the scores of individual development the highest, tbllowed by the ones of information medium, and the ones of going abroad the lowest. The investigation also shows that that male students and female students have differences in English learning motivation. The study has great significance in English language teaching at independent college.
