The Study on Mourning Poetry of Bai Juyi

白居易作为一代文豪,在他的亲友亡故之后,除了恸哭之外,也祭之以诗。白居易一生作有七十多首悼亡诗,这类诗不同于他的其它诗歌,体现了他除却家国情怀之外的人伦情怀,有着独特的创作特色和审美价值。

As a literary giant of his generation, when facing the death of his family members or friends, Bai Juyi wrote some poems in memory of them besides wailing. Bai Juyi wrote a total of more than 70 memorial poetries in his whole life. These poems were different from his other ones, and they displayed his human feelings apart from the feelings for his home and country. Therefore, these poems behave unique creative features and aesthetic values.
