The design of the special lifting tools used for installing the steam generators (SG) of Qinshan Phase-Ⅱ is briefly introduced.The hoisting process,method of the SG upending,design principle,design code,selection of the major structure materials,design of the structure and the strength,stress analysis and the test are discussed.The special lifting tools have been used successfully to install the two SGs of reactor NO.1 of Qinshan Phase-Ⅱ .
