组合式地板刀一般由六把独立铣刀组合,其中铣槽刀和铣榫刀各三把。其生产主要有线切割刀片下料、刀体车、铣、焊接刀片、仿形磨刃形磨削、前刀面磨削,组合试切、调整组合轴向距离等。加工的重点是仿形磨刃形磨削和组合试切并调整。
