This paper states that the participation theory is significant and practical to ideological workers. With an analysis and description of the theory's focuses, it believes that various types of participation will thoroughly stimulate psychological and intellectual activities, which in turn may improve the quality and capability of the educated. The paper also offers a classification of the participation types, and its conclusion is that the psychological and behavior basis of participation theory, as well as its motive mechanism, are in accordance to social mechanism of our country in the new era.
