摘要
龙门县有两种方言:客家话和本地话,"本地话"的语言性质尚待研究,总的来说与相邻的粤方言和客方言密切相关。左潭镇禾仓村在龙门县城西边18公里处,龙门左潭话虽然具有一部分客家话的特征,但仍保留了一些粤语语音上的重要特点,应该划归粤语。
Two dialects exist in Longmen County, i.e. the Hakka dialect and the local dialect. The linguistic nature of the local dialect is still to be determined. Generally speaking, it is closely related to the nearby Cantonese and the Hakka dialect since Hechang Village of Zuotang Town is 18 km away from the west of Longmen County. The dialect in Zuotang, l_ongmen shows some features of Hakka dialect, yet it possesses some important phonetic characteristics of the Cantonese. Thus it should be classified as Cantonese.
