＂Violence＂ is one of the most important themes of French playwright Bernard-Marie Koltes＇ works. A large number of plots and scenes involve violence in his masterpieces such as Black Battles with Dogs, Quay West, and Roberto Zucco. On the grounds of the analysis of his major works, the paper summarizes the expression and characteristics of violent conflicts in Koltes＇ s works in order to explore the sources of the theme of ＂violence ＂. Through the analysis and interpretation of metaphors, the structure of Koltes＇ myth of violence is revealed.
