AEEG monitoring epileptiform discharges in children with Tourette syndrome

目的 :探讨 Tourette综合征 ( TS)癫痫样脑波的临床意义。方法 :利用动态脑电图仪对 86例 TS患儿作 2 4小时监测。结果 :86例 TS患儿中有 1 3例 ( 1 5.1 % )监测到 EEG癫痫样放电。其中 5例 ( 6.0 % )合并癫痫 ,8例( 9.3% )无癫痫发作。结论 :TS的癫痫样波一部分与癫痫有关 ,另一部分意义未明 ,可能与遗传有关。

Objective: To evaluate clinical significance of epileptiform EEG discharges in the children with Tourette syndrome (TS).Methods:The 24-hour ambulatory EEG(AEEG)was monitored in 86 children with TS.Results:Epileptiform EEG discharges during AEEG monitoring were obtained in 15.5% children (13 of 86),among them there were 6.0% children (5 of 86)with epilepsy,and 9.3% without epilepsy.Conclusion:Partial epileptiform EEG discharges in TS might be related to epilepsy,and others might be related to genetic factors.
