Foreign Direct Investment: An Indispensable Channel for Expanding the Export of Chinese Service Industry

国际服务贸易与国际直接投资密不可分。从服务产品的特点来看,其与制造业国际直接投资相互缠结;从对服务贸易的界定来看,其与服务业国际直接投资同为一体。现阶段,我国以对外直接投资拓展服务出口有坚实的理论依据和现实基础。为此,我国应努力提高服务业企业对外直接投资档次,以拓展服务出口;扩大制造业企业对外直接投资规模,以带动服务出口;适应国际投资环境变化,迎接以对外直接投资促服务出口的新挑战。

International service trade is intimately linked with foreign direct investment. According to the charac- teristics of international service trade, it is intertwined with direct investment of manufacturing industry. Where- as, international service trade and direct investment of service industry can be regarded as a whole in terms of the definition of service trade. Today, there is a solid theoretical basis and practical foundation for foreign direct in- vestment in order to expand service export in China. Therefore, we should strive to improve the quality of foreign direct investment of enterprises in service industry so as to expand service export. In addition, we should expand the scale of investment of manufacturing enterprises in order to promote service export. Moreover, we should adapt to the changes of international investment environment eign direct investment could promote service export.
