With the deepening reform of market economy in our country, the internal and external environment of public institution have changed by root, there is no exception to the geological institutions.These institutions optimiazed their intenal structure to build a sound environment for its development.Therefore, the stuta of the finacial management has become more important.The major challege the geological institutions have to face is luther improving the finacial manaegment system and enhancing the sustainable development of geological institutions to meet the needs of market economy.This papar disscusses the basic concepts about finacial management and the necessity of establishing a sound finacial management systerm.
