My wife and I live on Vancouver Island. When we want to travel, job one is getting off the island. Fortunately, there are several ways to do this. You can fly or, for shorter trips, the best way is on one of the large ferries that connect our island home to ports in the US and to the City of Vancouver on the Canadian mainland.
