Teen Tech Week (TTW) and Teen Read Week (TRW) are national initiatives sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). The purposes of the programs are respectively to connect teens with technologies and to promote teens' reading. TTW is held each year during the second week of March and TRW is celebrated annually in the third week of October with specific theme. YALSA provides each registered library with resources and products such as planning toolkit, logo as well as publicity tools. YALSA also markets the events and use wiki, blog and twitter to advance communication among libraries. Libraries are not only providers of the place, but also active promoters of the program. Instead of only one week, the influences of these two theme weeks on teens will last for their whole life.
