This paper introduces the principle and design methods of an wide-band LFM signal generator employing digital base-band circuits and an orthogonal modulator. The experimental results of the generator with the time duration of 20μs, LFM bandwidth of 70MHz and IF of 200MHz are presented, which show that the spurious signals are below -60dB. A 100MHz high speed data acquisition system and its relevant experiment are also discussed.\;
