National Kindergarten Teachers’ Qualification Examination System Brings Challenges and Opportunities for Preschool Education Colleges

国家即将全面实行的幼儿园教师资格证考试制度，对幼师院校，尤其是中专和由中专升格的大专院校而言，既是挑战，也是机遇。挑战主要在于目前在校学生普遍存在由于基础教育缺失而形成的素质短板。机遇则在于幼师院校可以充分利用这个机会，探索学生综合素质培养的最佳途径，诸如改革课程设置，提高教育教学质量，激发学生和教师的积极性等．从而走出一条可持续发展之路。

The state will implement the new teachers＇ qualification examination, which is both challenges and opportunities for preschool education colleges, especially for secondary vocational schools and colleges recently upgraded from secondary vocational schools. The major challenge is how to make up the quality short board effectively which is formed by the lack of basic education. However, the schools and colleges can take this as an opportunity to reform their curriculum, explore the best way to improve students＇ comprehensive quality, improve the quality of teaching, enhance the core competitiveness of schools, and take the road of sustainable development.
