A New Comment on Zhou Zuoren's Theory of Cultural Salvation of the Nation

周作人制造、发明的"文化救国论"其"中心思想",即是"大东亚主义的思想",也就是"大东亚共荣圈"的同义语。周作人"文化救国论"的几个理论支柱:诬蔑气节,大反气节;炮制政治、文化二元论,人为地把政治、文化对立起来;所谓"不为国民政府守节"、"文化救国论"是一个彻头彻尾反历史唯物主义的理论,是对历史的曲解和嘲弄。

The Cultural Salvation of the Nation as proposed by Zhou Zuoren is nothing but an invention to defend charges against him.Such components as belittling integrity,defaming national heroes,intentionally severing the relationship between politics and culture,behaving disloyally toward the national government are the main pillars of his theory of national salvation,which basically amounts to a different version of the Curved Salvation of the Nation as formulated by Wang Jingwei.
