His work of chil- dren＇s literature The Graveyard Book, on the one hand inherits the ＂black＂ element from the Gothic literature in English and Ameri- can ; on the other hand challenges and subverts the tradition of the gothic literature. The creative use of the strategies of the effect of de- familiarization, elements of humor, ＂roller coaster＂, changes the stereotyped narration and the horrific interest of gothic novels and then creates a child-gothic world with his amazing imagination, which highlights the distinctive artistic charm of children＇s literature.
