The Characteristics of Information Behaviors and Information Literacy Education from College Students of Generation Y

"Y一代"泛指"网络一代"、"I一代"的年轻人,他们是当今高校学生的主要构成人员。"Y一代"高校学生具有注重信息需求、依赖网络、追求便利性和个性化等信息行为特征。"Y一代"高校学生信息素养教育应在信息行为引导、教育内容以及教育形式方面更多地体现出学校的引导性、课程的针对性以及学生学习的主动性与自觉性。

Referring to the young people of the net generation or Generation I, Generation Y is the mainstream of college students. These young people own the characteristics of information behaviors such as emphasizing their needs for information, relying on the net- work and pursuing convenience and individualization. The leading role from colleges, the pertinence of the courses and the initiative from students should be shown from the perspectives of the guidance of information behaviors, teaching contents and education approa- ches for the information literacy education of Generation Y.
