Relationship between pathological changes and prognosis in diabetic nephropathy

在全球范围内糖尿病肾病(DN)发病率不断增加,它已成为引起终末期肾病的主要病因之一。肾脏疾病的病理改变对了解疾病的发生、发展意义重大,然而,临床医师常忽视DN患者的病理改变特点。最近肾脏病理学会提出了DN病理分型新标准,但该分型对于指导临床预后的意义尚不明确。更多临床病理相关性的研究必将有助于我们进一步了解DN的发病机制,能更好的指导临床治疗及判断预后。

With the morbidity increasing worldwide,diabetic nephropathy is becoming one of the most common causes of end stage renal disease.The pathological changes are of great importance for understanding the development and progression of diseases.However,diabetic nephropathy was an ignored disease in the historical era.Recently a pathologic classification of diabetic nephropathy has been launched on behalf of Renal Pathology Society.But its value in the prediction of clinical outcome is largely undetermined.More researches combing histological and clinical findings will further help us to understand the pathogenesis of this disease and improve clinical management.
