The synthesis technology of methyl ethyl ketone is presented and the development of catalyst for producing methyl ethyl ketone by dehydrogenation of sec-butyl alcohol is reviewed. The preparation technology, modification and development of Cu/Zn/A1 catalyst and Cu/SiO2 catalyst are expounded and the application prospect of Cu/SiO2 catalyst in dehydrogenation is prospected.
