高性能低复杂度宽带分组交换机

HIGH PERFORMANCE AND LOW COMPLEXITY BROADBAND PACKET SWITCHES

近年来提出了许多组建宽带分组交换机的方案,但其中大部分方案不能在性能和造价两个方面都满足要求。本文提出了一个叫 Balcher-Multiple Banyan(BMB)交换机的新宽带分组交换机。由于BMB 交换机是输出缓冲的,它的性能与 Knockout 交换机相近,但是 BMB 交换机是用多级连网络为基础组建的,它还具有较低的复杂度.

Although a number of broadband packet switches are proposed in recent years,most ofthem are not satisfied in both performance and complexity. Several new broadband packet switches,calledthe Batcher-Multiple Banyan(BMB)switches,are introduced in this paper.Belonging to the outputqueued class,the BMB switches can achieve approximately the same high perfomance as the knockoutswitch.But unlike the knockout switch,BMB switches rely on Batcher-Multiple Banyan networks,insteadof a fully connected network,to transfer a suffcient number of packets to each output at every slot.Consequently,it also has low complexity.
