It introduces the whole process of using laterite to smelt FeNi with RKEF in detail, including laterite pretreatment, blow-in and slag pattern choice. Two smelting programs are given. It elaborates on several aspects, such as furnace electricity supply system, furnace parameters, lining and technico-eeonomical indexes. It also compares RKEF process with Japan Krupp Renn process. There is certain guiding significance on producing FeNi with laterite.
