摘要
Arecent State Council meeting con- cluded that, in accordance with the ~overall planning and support pollcies, railway construction in tl^e poorer areas of central and western China will be developed on a priority basis. The meeting, chaired by Premier Li Keqiang, pointed out that the railways are a key element in the national infrastructure, and that through reform of the railway construction the government will liberalize the opera- tion of the market and encourage more private capital to invest in construction.
