The eight-year program in China is designed to cultivate advanced healthcare talents competitive in the global community.As the 21st century emphasizes scientific research,research skills have become a key to the success of eight-year program education.The first-class medical schools in the US develop students＇ research skills through early,rigorous,and whole-process training.In reference to this approach,our program should optimize the research training schedule,improve the course and project design,establish the mentorship in an early stage and through the whole program,and set up a specialized management committee.
