Community Education with Chinese Characteristics

我国现代社区教育是伴随着改革开放出现的,发展至今已近三十年。自2001年开始开展社区教育实验工作以来,社区教育在整个教育系统中的地位不断得到加强。目前,在创建学习型社会的过程中扮演着重要的角色,发挥着举足轻重的作用。社区教育是扎根于我国国情的教育活动,在朝着规范化、系统化的趋势迅速发展的同时显现出了鲜明的中国特色,本文拟从实践、理论、时代、民族四个基本方面论述其特色所在。

Since the reform and opening up, modem community education in China has developed for nearly 30 years by now. The experiment of community education was carried out in 2001 and its status has been strengthened in the whole education sys- tem. At present, it is playing an important and pivotal role in the process of creating a learning society. Rooted in the situation of the country, China＇ s community education has shown distinct characteristics in its rapid development toward standardization and systematization. This article discusses these features in terms of practice, theory, times and nationality.
