Improving Students' Problem -Solving Ability through Laying Emphasis on the Teaching of Quantitative Relation

In primary school mathematics teaching, applied prob lems occupy an important position. For lowergrade students, understanding the meaning, analyzing quantitative relation and selecting problemsolving strategy is hard. Therefore, the mastery of basic quantitative relations is the basis of problemsolving. We should use the concept of the new curriculum to reconsider the mathematical value of quantitative relation.
