Opportunities and Challenges Facing the Museum of Earth Science in a Market Economy

目前我国地学博物馆发展中存在的问题:公众认知度低;资金缺乏,来源单一;经营模式相对落后,宣传力度不够;公共资源利用率不高。进一步推动我国地学博物馆发展的建议:加大政策支持力度,实现资金来源多样化;创新展览的内容和形式;扩大展品的征集范围;积极开展展品信息的开发和利用;积极参加国际文化交流;加强博物馆内部的财务监管体系。

This paper makes some suggestions aimed at the problems such as public awareness is low; capital shortage and single source of funds; business model is relatively backward and lack of publicity; and the utilization rate of public resources is not high. The main suggestions of focus include： increasing policy support to achieve capital source diversification; innovating the exhibition content and form, and expanding the scope of collecting the exhibits; actively carrying out the development and utilization of exhibit information, and taking an active part in international cultural exchange; and lastly, strengthening the internal financial regulatory system of the museum.
