Clinical application of Ross operation

目的 报告 6例Ross手术的临床经验和手术结果。方法 自 1998年 3月至 1999年 10月 ,6例主动脉瓣瓣膜疾病病人中男 3例 ,女 3例 ;年龄 4～ 38岁 ,平均 (14± 12 )岁。诊断为主动脉瓣二瓣化畸形伴狭窄 3例 ,其中 1例伴有室间隔缺损 ;主动脉瓣脱垂 2例 ;单纯主动脉瓣狭窄 1例。均接受了Ross手术。结果 无手术死亡 ,全部治愈出院 ,随访效果满意。结论 Ross手术安全、效果好 ,可适于某些主动脉瓣瓣膜病变 。

Objective To report the clinical experience and results of Ross operation in surgical repair for aortic valve disease. Methods From March 1998 to October 1999, 6 patients with age ranged from 5 to 38 (mean ages 14±12) years underwent Ross operation for aortic valve disease. There were 3 male and 3 female patients. Among them, 5 were younger than 16 years and another patient is 38 years. The diagnosis included bicuspid aortic valve and aortic stenosis in 3 (one associated with ventricular septal defect), prolapse of aortic valve and aortic insufficiency in 2 and simple aortic stenosis in 1. All patients underwent Ross operation under cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB). Results There was no operative mortality. All patients were discharged without any complications. Follow up was from 2 21 months. The outcome was satisfactory. Conclusion Ross operation is a safe, effective procedure. It can be used for certain kinds of aortic valve diseases, especially in children and young patients.
