钟嵘《诗品》称王融表字初探

A Probe into the Reasons for Wang Rong to be named Yuanchang in Zhong Rong's “Shi Pin”

钟嵘《诗品》将与他稍早的南齐诗人王融列居下品,其对于王融多称表字,引起后人争议。《四库全书总目·<诗品>提要》最早提到这一问题,但给出的解释显得含混。结合齐梁易代之史实,钟嵘之所以称王融表字,既非有所私尊,亦非避齐和帝之讳,而是避梁武帝之忌讳。

Wang Rong was a poet in Southern Qi Dynasty, whose literary name was Yuanchang. Zhong Rong used Wang Rong＇ s literary name rather than his name in ＂Shi Pin＂, which causes the dispute. The preface of ＂Shi Pin＂ in ＂Siku Quanshu Zongmu Tiyao＂ （The Preface of the Catalogue of Imperial Collection of Four） was the first to point out the fact, but failed to give a clear explanation. According to the historical fact that Qi was overthrown and replaced by Liang Dynasty, Zhong Rong was trying to avoid the taboo of Emperor Liang instead of Emperor Qi or personal dignity.
