楚国后妃的历史,是反映楚国历史的一个侧面。西汉刘向所辑《列女传》中记录的楚国后妃共有10位,她们与楚王的婚姻中含有很多政治因素。当时人们的贞节观念还比较淡薄,但同时妇女的"德行"被放到很重要的位置;女性对军国大事具有一定的话语权。对其人、事的考辨和梳理,可作为认识楚国乃至先秦社会历史的一个切入点。
