美国来华教育学者与中国高等教育学术的发展——以民国时期为例

On Pedagogy Scholar from the United Sateds and the Development of Chinese Higher Educational Academic Research——In the Republic of China

民国时期,随着"五四"新文化运动的兴起,杜威、孟禄、克伯屈、麦柯尔等一批美国知名教育学者受邀访华。他们来华后,在中国高等教育界进行全面的调查,并把北高师和南高师作为教育学术活动的主要阵地,促进新的教育研究方法的应用与推广,传播了实用主义教育思想,推动了高等教育界的学术思想交流,同时也促进教育社团的蓬勃发展,使我国高等教育学术不断向前发展,在中国高等教育学术发展史上书写了崭新的一页。

During the period of the republic of China,with the emergence of 'May 4th' new culture movement,a group of American famous education scholars,such as Dewey,Meng Lu,Kilpatrick,W.A.McCall,are invited to visit China.In China,they did a research on the higher education in China and conducted a series of academic activities mainly in Peking and Nanjing,spreading the pragmatism education thought and promoting the academic ideas of higher education.They promoted the academic prosperity and development of higher education in China,and wrote a brand-new chapter in the history of Chinese higher educational academic research.
