试论张之洞对近代纺织工程教育的探索

The Exploration of Zhang Zhi-dong in Modern Textile Engineering Education

张之洞创办的湖北农务学堂、工艺学堂等实业学堂教育,实属现代意义上的中国纺织工程教育。其储人才、开利源、利民生、杜外耗的工程教育目的,其聘请外国教习、鼓励出国留学、推动专业教育、注重实践训练等工程教育的思想与实践,对当前参与国际竞争的我国纺织工程教育无疑具有极其重要的借鉴意义。

The industrial schools established by Zhang Zhi-dong like Hubei Agricultural School and Technical school,had engaged in China textile engineering education in the modern sense,with the purpose of engineering education,reserving personnel,seeking new economic development,improving people＇s livelihood,reducing the trade deficit,adopting education exploration to employing foreign experts,encouraging Chinese students studying overseas,promoting special education,attaching importance to practical training,and exploring the system construction,which has important reference meanings to the contemporary textile engineering education.
