《星座》是有岛武郎的最后一部小说,在这部未竟的长篇中有岛探讨了朝气蓬勃的年轻人面对人生的困境如何进行抉择,而白官舍、北海道、东京作为小说中的主要地理空间,构成了他们活动的舞台,三者就像同心圆一样并列存在,分别象征人物的内向心理空间、外向生活空间以及理想的符号空间,借此有岛探讨了世纪之交的知识分子们的困惑与彷徨,对知识分子进行了彻底的自省和自我批判,并最终指向了有岛作为清醒者、觉醒者的孤独。
Seiza, the last novel of Arishima Takeo, in which the author studies the youth how to choose their life style when fall in dilemma. Shirakannsha, Hokkaido, Tokyo, construct main geographic space, where the youth live their life and show their strength. The three geographic spaces are three concentric circles, which symbols internal psychological space, extrinsic life space and ideal symbolic space. Arishima Takeo implores people's confusion and hesitation at the turn of the century, from which finds intellectuals' self-reflection and self-criticism and actually impress Arishima's loneliness.
