王世贞在其史学考证代表作《史乘考误》中能够辩证对待不同类型的史料,他结合笔记、家乘、传记、实录、小学、碑志等史料,并依据当朝制度和常理,用文献互证法和推理考证法对史实进行考证。
WANG Shi-zhen has dialectical treatment to different types of materials in his history research representative work： Shishengkaowu（historical textual research）. He combines notes, biography, memoir, linguistics books with the steles to examine the historical affairs by using literature textual and reasoning research on the basis of the national system and common sense.
