Beloved and A Mercy are representative works by the eminent contemporary American black female writer Toni Morrison. Morrison’s slave narration discloses slaves’interior lives from the perspective of a mother slave and so unfolds the black veil extended over history, thus arousing modern black people to face history. The path to establish the African black women’s identity is also explored.
