A Study of Interchangeable Characters in Bamboo Slips Eight

《上博简八》中存在大量的通假字,这些文字的借用现象是研究上古语音的可靠材料。文章对《上博简八》中的143对通假字从语音关系上进行了探讨,归纳出古音通假建立在音同音近的基础上并且以音同为最佳,通假中韵同的数量大大高于声同的数量等结论;最后讨论了余母复杂的通假现象。

A large number of interchangeable characters are {ound in Bamboo Slips Eight. These interchangeable words are a reliable material for the study of ancient pronunciation. This paper analyzes the phonetic relationship between146 pairs of interchangeable characters in Bamboo Slips Eight and concludes that the ancient interchangeable characters were based on perfect homophony or near homophony and that there are more interchangeable characters with the same vowels than those with the same initial consonants. The paper also discusses the interchangeable characters with the same sounds of other kinds.
