唐传奇之“变形母题”与佛经故事

On the Deformation Motif in the Romances of Tang Dynasty and Buddhist Stories

"变形母题"是唐代传奇小说中常见的母题之一,主要体现在异类之间的互化以及人与异类间的互化。其中,人与异类间互化的故事占相当大的比例。然而,这种变形传闻并非中国本土所特有,其源头可以追溯到印度的佛经故事,同时,在唐代传奇小说中亦可见佛教六道轮回思想的印痕。

The Deformation Motif is one of the frequently seen motifs in Tang Romances. It mainly shows itself in the two aspects the deformation among different species and the one between human and other species which occupies the majority. However, the motif is not unique from China, the source of which can be traced back to the Indian Buddhist stories. Meanwhile the Buddhist Samsara is also reflected in the romances.
